African Icon – 31″ x 14.25″

I began with a face and the body created itself as I moved around photographic images of giant mud puddles, rocky ledges, bare trees, microscopic crystals, elephants, cave paintings and the Bay Bridge. I used a photo of frozen flowers in her hair and the frozen drips appeared to me like dreadlocks.
